Online SAT and online ACT classes “feel” like regular classes after about five minutes. For many, the experience of entering the code and password and enabling audio and video are weird the first time through. However, the process is simple after that.
Students report that they “like online SAT tutoring classes a lot because the online classes show the board and notes and are easy to follow along.”
Others have said, “I really liked the lesson, and I really liked that I didn’t have to leave my house.”
While online SAT classes and online ACT classes might appear a little different, the teaching and interaction is the same as in an in-person SAT or ACT class. In fact, teaching online SAT classes and online ACT classes actually makes us more focused on teaching the specific skills AND students say they find it easier to follow along!
Students have full view of the SAT or ACT instructor, his or her computer screen or whiteboard. Students hear the instructor clearly, and it feels as if the instructor is talking directly to the student.
Students can expect a great experience with our online tutoring, and, as always, students and parents can expect a dedication on our end to providing the best possible experience.
First and foremost, we believe in creating a team that consists of:
This team allows all involved to stay involved. Since we are teachers and parents, we get it. One of the hardest parts of schooling is knowing what your children are doing and how they are doing.
Our goal is to ensure that parents know what their kids are learning and exactly how they are scoring on practice tests.
In the end, parents will always know how their kids are progressing in our online SAT classes and our online ACT classes.
Work with Patrick and Laurence on the SAT or ACT to not only improve on these tests but to reach your potential.
We offer several options to best prepare you for the SAT or ACT:
We have been teaching and tutoring for more than a combined 50 years on Long Island, NY. Patrick is a math teacher and he covers all math-related coursework such as the SAT Math, ACT Math, and Algebra 2 Trigonometry. Laurence is an English teacher and he covers all English and reading/writing-related coursework. This includes the SAT and ACT Reading, Writing, and Grammar sections, college essay writing, college applications, and study skills. We also employ highly experienced teachers who meet our incredibly high hiring standards.
Our success has come from our ability to find a common ground with our students while devising a specific strategy for each student. For instance, if a student has barely been exposed to grammar or struggles with math skills, we work to build those skills up past the point of proficiency and give students the skills to attain mastery. We are both driven to find what it takes to reach our students and convey to them the necessary skills needed to excel on the exam or in the class they are taking.
We believe that successful test prep can’t follow a cookie-cutter approach. While there are some universal strategies that are necessary for success, we know how to bring the information to our students regardless of a student’s ability level, prior schooling, or personal beliefs about his or her abilities.
First and foremost, Patrick and our math teachers teach math and Laurence and our English teachers teach English. This is very important because many other companies employ one person to teach both subjects, which is not fair to the students. Would you want your Social Studies teacher teaching you math when the test you are prepping for dictates which colleges you can go to? Or worse yet, someone who isn’t qualified to teach you the material in the first place? Of course not.
We cover all skills related to our respective subjects. We also focus on several aspects of test-taking, including, but not limited to:
-Laurence and Patrick
