We utilize a hybrid learning environment.
All classes are held in person at Long Island University and are live streamed to our students who are attending from home. 
The classes are fully interactive for all, so where you choose to attend from is completely up to you. 
 
Additionally, students who are enrolled as “in person students” can attend online if they can’t make it to LIU Post.
 
Homework Policy: Students receive weekly assignments are expected to complete and submit all assignments. 
Students scores are directly related to the effort they put in.
 
Presentation: Our screens are mirrored to the our students’ screens and all students have their cameras off. So, students see us and our screens only. This limits distractions and creates the feel of one-on-one tutoring. Classes are fully interactive and highly engaging.
In addition to working live with students for two hours each week, we include recordings of all classes and bonus materials that give access to hundreds of videos and problems with explanations designed to help students reach perfection.

OUR LEADERSHIP TEAM

I have been a math teacher for 35 years. I am extremely passionate about helping students reach their full potential. I am also retired, and I spend a lot of my time creating videos and materials for my SAT students that help immensely. I am also a parent whose children are in or have graduated college, so I am able to provide perspective and assist with any questions about anything related to the admissions process.

I believe that all students have the ability to succeed more than they believe, and I strive to help students reach their potential. In addition, I am constantly making new materials that help my SAT students master the material. I love bringing my extensive background in test preparation to this program.

OUR APPROACH

Our classroom is a hybrid classroom. 
This means that we have students in the classroom and students online at the same time.
 

This allows us to create the most convenient ACT classes available. Students can attend in person and/or online to work with us. Our online option means no need to worry about scheduling or carpooling.

 
We mirror our iPads to the screen in order to create an immersive feel for students. Students from all over the country join us on Zoom, and we’re thrilled to report that they love the way we utilize our online ACT classes. 

We provide all materials and tests, so there is nothing extra that needs to be purchased. In fact, we are constantly creating and adding to our program to ensure that our students have access to everything they need to succeed.

WHAT DO STUDENTS RECEIVE WITH THESE ACT PREP CLASSES?

We don’t use a cookie-cutter approach. Instead, we base each week’s lessons on how our students are performing. 

We use the feedback from our student’s work to drive the instruction. So, our lessons are unique to the students in the room and online.

Classes are recorded and these  recordings can be accessed at any point during the duration of the class, so students can watch or rewatch a lesson on their time.

This flexibility is crucial given today’s busy schedules.

We provide and create videos and unique materials to reinforce key concepts and techniques. Students have told us that the videos alone have helped them reach new levels. We believe in providing the most to our students and letting them choose what works best for them.

A distraction free online environment. There are no distractions for our in person and online students because students don’t have their cameras on. Our online students only see the teacher and his or her screen. As a result, students say our classes feel like one-on-one private tutoring.

We provide all tests, which include tests from the ACT and tests that we create ourselves. All tests come with answer keys. Our experience and technical expertise allow us to produce more tests and materials than ever before, which only helps students in the end.

The ACT in a Nutshell

The new ACT consists of five sections: the English, Math, Reading, Science, and Essay. However, the Science and Essay sections are optional. In a nutshell, though, the ACT is a reading test. Sure there is a math section, but the rest of the test is predominately a reading test, one that favors speed over everything else. The Science section is not a science test as you might assume; it is a reading test with science labs, experiments, graphs, and charts. For students who process information very quickly, the ACT is a great option for their college admissions tests.
