What our Long Island and Online TACHS Prep Courses Cover
According to CHSEE.org, the official website of the Catholic High School Entrance Exam, “The examination measures both ability and achievement. Achievement is measured in the areas of reading, mathematics and language. The tests have been developed by classroom teachers. Each year’s test questions are kept by each student. Consequently, the test questions are new each year.”
From the standpoint of two testing professionals who know standardized testing and this test in particular, we design our CHSEE Prep Classes around the following:
- How to read properly for tests
- The foundations of English grammar and language
- Mathematic skills at the core of the test
- Test-taking tips, study skills, and reasoning techniques
- Time-management, pressure-management, and confidence-management
These five core criteria drive our instruction.
Remember: Students are only as strong as the strength of their academic foundations. Once students know how to read properly, they can read well for standardized tests. Knowing how to read for standardized tests helps students excel on any section and on any standardized test. Our focus on these skills, in conjunction with testing tips and techniques, has helped thousands of Long Island students score higher on every exam across the board from the TACHS exam to the SAT.
All materials are included. This includes materials created by Patrick and Laurence themselves, tests, homework, etc.
In the end, we are dedicated, caring, and experienced teachers who will show your children how to excel on this test. This will allow them to reach new heights in reading, speaking, writing, math, and anything test-related. Who Teaches the TACHS Exam Prep Courses?
At the foundation of Precision Test Prep are two teachers with 50 years of combined experience both in the classroom and in private and review class settings.
Laurence is an English teacher who is currently the 8th Grade Team Leader at his school, and Patrick is a high school math teacher.
Both Patrick and Laurence are SAT and ACT tutors in high demand who are experts in test prep. So, in addition to getting two highly experienced classroom teachers, your child will be working with two of the finest tutors on Long Island.
This makes a tremendous difference because the CHSEE is a standardized test. Patrick and Laurence have years of experience helping students beat the SAT and ACT. They take this knowledge and use it to give their CHSEE and TACHS students an advantage over others prepping by themselves or with less-qualified teachers.

Students will sit for the TACHS exam again this year. We know the test well and will have your children ready to excel for the November 2022 exam. The TACHS exam is online, which makes our Long Island TACHS Prep Classes a great choice for Long Island student’s striving to get into Catholic High School.

Is the TACHS exam different from the CHSEE exam?
Are the TACHS Prep Classes on Long Island different from the traditional CHSEE Prep Classes?
Students are required to have a strong background in reading comprehension, grammar, vocabulary, reasoning, and mathematic skills. Our Long Island and Online TACHS Exam Prep Classes will cover everything in depth and prepare your child for the exam.
An added benefit of taking our online TACHS prep course is that the 2023 TACHS exam will be held online this year. Taking a test online is much different from taking a test on paper. Our online presentation makes taking tests online much easier because students will be prepared for this task.
We clearly display material directly on the screen, so students in our Long Island TACHS exam prep classes have the opportunity to practice and transition to taking tests online. In the end, the exposure to the online platform can make a big difference.
How Does Private Tutoring Work?
Quite simply, we come to you and work one-on-one with your child. Private tutoring for the TACHS exam allows us to cater more to the individual student. Some students excel in this setting as they may feel more comfortable and open up more to the tutor; others like the classroom setting because they learn from other students. Some use private tutoring as a follow-up or in conjunction to TACHS exam prep classes; others tutor privately for the TACHS exam because they begin TACHS exam tutoring during the summer before the TACHS prep course begins.
Whatever the reason, private tutoring for the TACHS exam provides students with a personalized curriculum that caters to their needs and helps them get the scores they need to get into the school of their choice.
