Why do targeted AP reviews work?

In order to maximize engagement and best prepare our students, we target our review by reviewing what students are having the most trouble with first. We do this by contacting each student and asking for the top 3 or 4 concepts that are causing them the most trouble.

Our AP Chemistry teacher then designs the AP Chemistry Review to cover these concepts within the first hour. After these topics are reviewed, the teacher then covers the remainder of the course. Our goal is relieve stress and prepare our students for an extremely difficult test. By targeting the information that students want, we have found that we accomplish more in less time.
