Unlike other test prep companies that hire inexperienced or unqualified instructors, you will only work with Laurence and Patrick. Laurence is an English teacher and ACT tutor with 15 years of experience. Patrick is a math teacher and ACT tutor with over 25 years of experience. Both are accomplished teachers and tutors.

You will receive an email or call asking if there is anything specific you want covered during our review in addition to what is normally covered. The goal is to best serve you and our ACT CleanUP class will do just that.

What You Need to Know About the ACT

If you live on Long Island, you know that the ACT is a very important test. Whether we like or not, colleges have allowed testing companies such as the ACT to administer exams that help to determine if a student meets the criteria for acceptance to a certain college. As a result, ACT prep on Long Island is a big deal. However, not all ACT prep on Long Island is created equally. Too many companies–big name and ones you haven’t heard of–routinely employ individuals to “teach” the ACT to students. Most of these people are not teachers, have no experience, or are grossly unqualified.

You will not find that at Precision Test Prep.

Laurence covers all English-based aspects of the ACT while Patrick covers the Math section. In a nutshell, the ACT is a reading test with a math section on it. That may seem like a simplified definition of the ACT, but that’s really what it is. Students need to read and process quickly on all sections in order to finish the test and maximize scores.

We run our Long Island ACT CleanUP prep classes out of the Hampton Inn in Jericho, NY. This is a convenient location in Jericho, right off the Long Island Expressway and close to towns like Plainview, Bethpage, Roslyn, Brookville, Merrick, and more. BJ’s and Home Depot are located just around the corner. For Reference, the NYCB Theatre of Westbury is located less than a mile away.

Seating is limited to first-come, first-served for our ACT CleanUP classes. We do not like to pack the rooms in because we strive to reach every student on a more personalized level. We can’t do that if there are too many students.

We hold ACT CleanUPs (and SAT Boosts!) one week before each test. Whether you are just starting out, are in the middle of your prep, want to “test drive” us for a few hours, or are looking to get those last few points on the test, we’re here for you.
